Oak processionary moth

The caterpillars of oak processionary moths are pests of oak trees and a hazard to human and animal health.

The map below shows the location of oak processionary moth nests in Ottershaw Park and surrounding areas which have been detected and eradicated in 2020 and 2021.

There is some further information about OPM below the map.

You can also read this information leaflet from the Forestry Commission. It explains what the oak processionary moth is and how it can be identified and treated. Please read carefully if you have any oak trees on or near your land.
